Testimony

Hello, I have received my "Crematogaster scutellaris" colony. It has perfectly supported the trip. I didn't expect to receive a queen with so many workers and brood. That pleasantly surprised me. Many thanks again!

Used for decades by laboratories and ant enthusiasts, test tubes filled with a third of cotton-retained water is an unmatched solution for its efficiency and cost.

It recreates the conditions of humidity and promiscuity that the queens need to found their colony.

Our version:

- Has a plastic plug that reduces evaporation and greatly increases the autonomy.

- Features an ultra-flexible 9mm silicone hose. Same diameter as our artificial habitats, allows to move easily to the nest and can also be connected directly to an Observation Area.

- In glass for excellent observations.

Info Messor: the humidity is higher than the average. We recommend to distribue the seeds outside the tube using a feeding arena to avoid germnation.

Principe :

- The water supply feeds the back of the cotton for months. It stays relatively dry on ants side to avoid mold.

- The cotton humidifies the air of the tube. Ants capture moisture from the air

- At the birth of workers, it is advisable to connect the tube to a feeding area.

- After 5 to 10 workers minimum, you can connect the tube to a real artificial habitat for them to move.

Ideally supplemented with a Tube Holder to feed the ants, increase the space available (no need for the plug) and prevent the tube from rolling.
